Music

Music is an important part of the church and in particular Christian worship. Through music and singing we are able to express our beliefs and worship the Lord, the giver of life. Music can be used collectively in our local churches, for personal devotion and prayer and as a part of our outreach.

Don Moen Don Moen is a worship leader who has written over 100 songs and received many awards. He lives in Nashville, Tennessee in the USA but he travels all over the world on tours. Suzanne and I have used one of his DVDs to worship at home and it has been wonderfully effective. Don Moen, along with his band, really knows how to lead God's people in worship. You can't help but bow before the Lord and worship as you listen or join in with Don as he worships. I recomend that you visit his website and see what he has to offer. Helen Shapiro Helen Shapiro was born a Jew and grew up in London. Then at the age of 14 she shot to stardom as a pop singer with a string of hits such as 'Walking Back to Happiness' and 'You Don't Know'. Then in in 1997 she became a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Since then she has released a number of gospel albums and has been holding gospel outreach events. These days she concentrates on the gospel outreaches which are a mixture of songs, testimony and a gospel challenges. She has a music group called Hebron who often take part in these outreaches. Through Manna Music you can obtain her gospel albums and find out about her gospel outreaches. The outreach events are ideal for taking along non-Christians to hear the gospel. David Howarth Drum School At his drum school David provides drum lessons for all ages. David has over 40 years professional experience in both playing and teaching. As a Christian he plays at his local church in the worship group. He also teaches beginner guitar lessons for children.
