Israel

Israel symbolGod has not finished with the Jews as some might think. Remember that the church originally included Jews and Gentiles but over time the Gentiles have come to dominate the church and as a result we Gentiles have tended to forget our common roots. Jesus is their messiah just as He is ours so we should share the Gospel with Jews as well as Gentiles. Furthermore, as we come to the end of this church age, we find that the nation of Israel has been established again and that biblical prophecies about Israel are being fulfilled in our lifetime.
On this page I have included some information about organisations and significant individuals to help us to understand the significance of Israel and the Jews in God's plans and to help us to support and reach out to Israel. Each item has a brief explanation about the individual or organisation and a link to their website. To go to the website just click on the link.

Christian Friends Of Israel logoChristian Friends of Israel
Christian Friends of Israel began with a meeting of a few Christian leaders in Jerusalem in December 1985. They are a non-denominational Christian organisation that blesses Israel and serves the Church. They seek to break down barriers and build bridges of genuine friendship with Israel and the UK Jewish community. They help Christians to bless Israel by encouraging informed prayer, channelling support to projects in Israel, by taking part in joint events with the UK Jewish community, taking tours to Israel and by providing accurate news from the Middle East. They serve the church by helping Christians to understood the importance of Israel`s restoration in God`s Kingdom purposes. They also help Christians to understand the biblical relationship between Israel and the Church and reconnect with the Hebraic roots of their faith (Romans 11:16-18). Further details can be found on their website.
