A Nation Under Judgement
1st January 2026
On a personal level, most of 2025 was difficult with church activities not going so well. I was involved in endeavours that did not go well and caused me much suffering. And in response to this I took some time out to wait upon the Lord to see what He wanted me to do next. And this worked because by the end of the year my situation was turned around with a much better church experience and a return to preaching and pastoral work. Despite the difficulties, I experienced much healing and strengthening in 2025. 2026 is looking much brighter for me than 2025 was. This is all part of being a disciple of Jesus. If you are going through a difficult time at the moment, be assured that the Lord is with you. He will see you through it and turn all things to your good.
On a wider level, 2025 was an interesting year especially for the country I love; Great Britain. The past year saw the established churches continue to decline and go deeper into apostacy. And I believe that the national church has gone so far that it is now beyond redemption. And at the same time that the church was going into decline and apostacy, the nation declined. Great Britain is now heading on a path of destruction with division, unrest and a looming financial catastrophe developing. At the same time the government is leading us into a dystopian nightmare with cancelled elections, digital IDs, increased surveillance and censorship.
But what does this mean from God’s perspective. It means that the nation I love is now under judgement, aided and abetted by the Government. Great Britain is now being judged for its rebellion against God. It is being judged because of the rampant antisemitism in the nation, the attacks on the nation of Israel and the rejection of our Judeo-Christian heritage. The judgement is seen in the breakdown of our society, the destruction of our culture and the alien invasion of our shores. If we continue on the current trajectory Great Britain will ultimately be changed from being a Christian nation to being an Islamic state.
Many people are alarmed at what is happening to Great Britain, especially Christians. And they want the rot to stop. And what is their answer; a national revival. Many Christians are praying and searching for a revival without actually knowing what a true revival is and how it comes about. There has been talk of a quiet revival already taking place but that’s an oxymoron. There is no such thing as a quiet revival. I have been praying about this idea of a revival and I have come to understand that there will be no revival. Instead, I believe that the situation is going to get much worse. That’s not to say that there may not be very small local revivals but they will have little impact if they happen. I believe that we are on an unavoidable trajectory towards the start of the Tribulation spoken of by Daniel and the New Testament writers. It’s too late for a revival. The pieces needed for the Tribulation to take place are now being put in place.
It I am right, what should we as Christians be doing as we begin a new year? We need to prepare ourselves for the awful things that are coming. We will not go through the Tribulation, but we will go through the precursory dystopian setup that will make it very difficult for us. So, we need to seek a closer relationship with our heavenly Father, work on improving our mountain moving faith and become more dependent on the Lord. At the same time, we need to go about our Father’s business as much as we are able. God always has a remnant of true disciples and we should seek them out and join with them. That’s what I’m doing, what about you?
